*Murray Fearrey*, *Reeve of Dysart et al* – Murray spoke about the Waterfront Land Development – nothing much new since last year. Landfillsites – 1 to 2 years with the South Bay landfill left. There will be a need to find new ones. Clear bags will soon be mandatory for garbage. Windmills– there was a desire to put some on Kennesis Lake, but there is a need to consider size of property, distance from water. Taxes – expect an increase. If there are problems with noise and overnight camping onvarious spots on Percy – call Gary Hitt.
*Treasurer's Report* – Graham Warren reported that PLRA is in good financial shape. There are 41 paid members. *Trent-Severn Waterway Coalition* – Gary Portway reported that a committee of interested and concerned citizens who have businesses and cottages on theTrent-Severn Waterway are working on the water level issues. Consultants hired by the Government are due to report soon on this topic. A public meeting is being held Wed. July 4th at 7:30 p.m. at Minden United Church to discuss this issue and more to come from this in the future. *Fishing Derby Award* – was won by Christina Dunphy who last summer (06) caught an 18 ½ inch bass. Christina was six years old at the time. She is the granddaughter of Fran and Gerry Roberts. Congratulations Christina!! *Grief Development Project* – Paul Wilson, surveyor hired by Grief Bros. reported that the development is behind schedule by 3 to 4 months. The county is requiring site drainage surveys for each site. Ken Loney reported that pegs along road and on the lake are not lot designations, but are used for GPS and aerial photographs. *Fire Pump* – Because of liability issues related to owning and operating a fire pump, the directors of PLRA made a recommendation that the association divest themselves of ownership of the pump and put it up for sale to the highest bidder. The recommendation was passed. There was a question as to whether the pump could be an extended piece of equipment owned by the county fire department that remains on Percy Lake. The directors will look into this possibility. *Watershed Plan* – The first draft has been completed and PLRA members are able to access this plan through the PLRA website. There will be some editing to the document, members are encouraged to read and respond. When the Final Plan is written it will be submitted to the Dysart et al council. *New Business* – Barb Taylor moved that the PLRA incorporate and become a non-profit organization. The motion was seconded by Jack Russel and after some discussion was passed by unanimous vote. A motion was made by Marie Matkiwsky to take the money in reserve for the purchase of a new fire pump and put it in reserve to be used for future Percy Lake projects. Seconded by Warren Currie and passed unanimously bythe PLRA. The meeting was adjourned at 12:00 p.m. Minutes prepared by Susan Russel
