Sunday May 17th, 2009

Present:   Brian Edey,  Ken Loney, Gary Portway,  Graham Warren,  Susan Russel

NewsletterKen reports that the newsletter is almost done.  Copies will be printed by Ken and a copy will be put on the website.  They will be hand-delivered by the executive.

AGMThe next AGM will be held July 5th and Murray Fearrey has been invited to attend.  Ken Loney is completing his term as president of PLRA  and a new president will be needed before the AGM.  There will be a short meeting on Sunday, June 21st to sort out what will be needed for the AGM.

Greif Brothers Development  -  Ken reported that at the last Council Meeting the Township gave direction to Grief Bros to do "common element condominium" roads for the new development on Percy Lake.  As there are three separate roads to be developed there will be three condominium corporations.  The township will own the two beaches on Haliburton and Percy Lakes.  They will then be leased to the Lake Associations.  This will give the lake associations more authority in monitoring the beaches.

Lake Roads - (Haliburton Lake Rd, Percy Lake Rd, Johnson Bay Rd)  The existing roads on Percy Lake do not conform to the municipal standard of roads.  Ken has been in communication with the township on this matter.  Murray Fearrey has reported that because of budget restraints, the road will be redone in stages as was done with the Harburn Road.

Break-InsThere have been no reported break-ins on Percy Lake this past year but there were some near Fort Irwin.

General Discussion -   Not everyone on the lake was happy with the snowplowing done this past winter – will need to revisit this matter.  Jack Russel will be joining the directors as of next week – YEAH!! And on another HIGH note – Hi-speed Internet is really coming to Percy Lake as of Oct. 1st, 2009.
